Online English Tutor

We are hiring an experienced and highly qualified Online English Tutor to join our team in Faro. As an Online English Tutor, you will be responsible for teaching English to non-native speakers through virtual platforms. Your main duties will include preparing lesson plans, providing personalized instruction, and monitoring students' progress. You must have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of language acquisition and be able to adapt to different learning styles. This is a contract position with accommodation and visa sponsorship. Responsibilities:
- Develop lesson plans and materials that align with the students' needs and goals
- Provide one-on-one instruction to students through virtual platforms
- Evaluate students' progress and provide feedback on their language proficiency
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Utilize technology effectively to enhance the learning experience
- Communicate with parents or guardians of younger students regarding their progress
- Collaborate with other tutors or teachers to ensure consistent instruction

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or related field (TESOL/TEFL certification preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience teaching English as a second language (online teaching experience preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts in a clear manner
- Strong understanding of language acquisition theories and methods
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for different age groups and learning styles
- Proficient in using virtual platforms for online instruction
- Native or near-native fluency in English
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Salary: $1400 per month
