Head Chef
As a Head Chef for our upscale restaurant in Mauren, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and leading a team of talented chefs to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and expertise in creating innovative and delicious dishes while managing food costs and maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that reflect current food trends, local ingredients, and seasonal changes
- Create new dishes and ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of chefs, ensuring a positive work environment
- Manage inventory levels and control food costs through effective purchasing and portion control
- Maintain high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen
- Collaborate with management on budget planning, forecasting, and menu pricing
- Ensure compliance with all health codes, regulations, and company policies
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine-dining establishment
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, flavors, and cuisines
- Ability to create unique dishes while also executing classic recipes with precision
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and develop kitchen staff
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory levels
- Knowledge of food cost control measures
- Familiarity with health codes, sanitation standards ,and safety protocols
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Salary: $1400/month (negotiable based on experience)
Nationality: Indian (preferred)
