A typesetter is responsible for producing high-quality typesetting and layout work for various print and digital projects. This individual must have a keen eye for detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. They should also possess excellent communication skills, as they will need to collaborate with writers, editors, and designers to ensure the final product meets all client requirements. This position is based in Bergen and offers a salary of 1200$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize software programs such as Adobe InDesign and QuarkXPress to format text, images, and design elements for books, magazines, brochures, and other print materials
- Follow client style guides and project specifications to ensure accuracy and consistency in design
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during the typesetting process
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather project requirements and provide updates on progress
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout the entire typesetting process, including proofreading for errors or inconsistencies
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology

Requirements:
- Prior experience in typesetting or graphic design is preferred but not required
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, and other relevant software programs
- Strong understanding of typography, layout principles, and design fundamentals
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must be able to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
- A portfolio or examples of previous work is highly recommended
