Reference Librarian

A busy public library in Fonvieille is seeking an experienced Reference Librarian to join our team. This position requires a professional with a passion for serving the community and providing high-quality reference services to library patrons. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Library Science or related field, along with at least 2 years of experience as a Reference Librarian. This position does not offer accommodation, but we are open to candidates who require visa sponsorship.

As a Reference Librarian, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely reference assistance to library users. This includes helping patrons locate materials, answering research inquiries, and assisting with technology needs. You will also be responsible for maintaining the reference collection and keeping it up-to-date with current materials.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, along with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You must also have strong research skills and be proficient in using various databases and online resources. Familiarity with library cataloging systems is preferred.

In addition to your daily duties as a Reference Librarian, you will also have the opportunity to participate in outreach programs and events within the community. This may include conducting information sessions or workshops on library resources or collaborating with local organizations on educational initiatives.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $1800 per month.
