Junior Librarian

As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting in the management and organization of library materials and resources. You will also assist patrons with locating and accessing information, as well as providing basic reference and research assistance. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting literacy and learning.
You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other library staff on programming and community outreach initiatives. This is an ideal role for someone who is looking to gain experience in the field of librarianship and develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with cataloging, shelving, and maintaining library materials
- Provide basic reference services to patrons in person, over the phone, or via email
- Assist patrons with locating and accessing information using library resources
- Process new library memberships and issue library cards
- Collaborate with other library staff on programming initiatives and community outreach events
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Attend training sessions to stay updated on library policies, procedures, and resources

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Passion for promoting literacy and learning within the community
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed

Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable based on qualifications)

City: Fonvieille (preference for local candidates)

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
