As a Head Chef at our bustling restaurant in Oslo, Norway, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations. From creating innovative and delicious menus to managing a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, your role will be vital to the success of our establishment. Responsibilities:
- Create seasonal menus that showcase local, fresh ingredients while staying true to the restaurant's concept
- Develop and standardize recipes to maintain consistency in taste and presentation
- Oversee all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Train and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with management on budget planning, cost control, and profit management
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and international cuisines
- Ability to create innovative dishes while also maintaining traditional favorites on the menu
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and guidelines
- Fluent in English (Norwegian language skills preferred)
Salary: 1200$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
