Typesetter

We are seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Almada. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images for books, magazines, and other printed materials. Your role will involve working closely with editors and graphic designers to ensure that the final product is visually appealing and error-free.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up page layouts using specialized typesetting software
- Check for spelling, grammar, and formatting errors
- Adjust font sizes, styles, and spacing as needed
- Collaborate with editors and designers to meet project deadlines
- Ensure consistency in design elements throughout the publication
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to typesetting software

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a typesetter or in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Knowledge of typography principles and design elements
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Graphic Design or related field
- Experience with book layout and production processes
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS for digital publishing

This is a full-time position with a salary of $1400 per month. While prior experience is preferred, we are open to considering candidates without experience who possess strong skills and an eagerness to learn. Visa sponsorship may be provided for the right candidate. Accommodation is not included.
