Python Developer

A fast-growing software company in Svalbard is seeking a skilled and motivated Python Developer to join our team. As a Python Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software applications and tools that will be used by our clients around the world. Your main focus will be on developing efficient and reliable code using Python programming language.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software applications and tools using Python programming language
- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and enhancements
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code that follows industry standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot issues reported by users or colleagues with a focus on finding quick solutions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in software development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Python Developer in a professional setting
- Strong knowledge of Python programming language (including object-oriented concepts)
- Experience with Django web framework is preferred
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a plus
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Open to learning new technologies and taking on new challenges
