Typesetter

We are seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Atlanta. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text, images, and other elements into visually appealing layouts for print and digital publications.

Key responsibilities:
- Use specialized software to format text, graphics, and other design elements for various publications
- Collaborate with editors and designers to ensure that all content is accurately and attractively presented
- Proofread and make necessary corrections to ensure accuracy of layout and content
- Maintain consistency in design elements, such as font styles and sizes, throughout the publication
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a typesetter or in a similar role
- Proficiency in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors in text and layout
- Good understanding of design principles and typography
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills

This position is open to both Kenyans and foreigners. English language proficiency is preferred but not required. This is a part-time position with no experience or accommodation necessary. A biometric passport is required for all applicants.
