Mason Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Mason Assistant to join our team in Svalbard. As a Mason Assistant, you will work alongside experienced masons to assist with various tasks related to bricklaying, stone masonry, and other construction projects. This is a contract job with a salary of 1300$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with mixing and preparing mortar for brick and stone work
- Carry materials and tools to work area
- Lay bricks, stones, or other materials according to plans and instructions from the lead mason
- Use hand and power tools to cut and shape bricks or stones
- Clean and maintain work area and tools
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations

Requirements:
- No prior experience required, but some knowledge of basic masonry techniques is preferred
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
- Ability to follow instructions from lead mason and work as part of a team
- Must have good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred
