Elderly Caregiver

A reputable home care company in Bergen is seeking a compassionate and experienced Elderly Caregiver to join our team. As an Elderly Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing personalized care to our elderly clients in their homes. This includes assisting with activities of daily living, medication management, and companionship. Our ideal candidate is patient, empathetic, and has a genuine interest in improving the lives of seniors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals for the client
- Engage in meaningful conversations and activities with the client
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's health or behavior
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the client

Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an Elderly Caregiver or similar role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid caregiver certification or training preferred
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be physically fit to perform caregiving tasks such as lifting and transferring
