Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef in our busy kitchen, you will assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes for our restaurant in Porto. We are seeking a talented individual with a passion for food and dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in creating and executing seasonal menus
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes during service hours
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring proper techniques and procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all sanitation guidelines
- Monitor food inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with the Front of House team to ensure smooth service flow
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate staff
- Excellent time management skills
- A team player with strong communication abilities
