Part-Time Mason



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to join our team in Funchal on a part-time basis. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures using various types of building materials such as brick, stone, and concrete. This is an urgent job with a salary of 1400$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Lay bricks or other masonry units to construct walls, arches, and other structures
- Cut or trim bricks, stone, or other materials to fit specific spaces
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces for bonding
- Repair or replace damaged masonry units in existing structures
- Measure and mark layout lines to guide the placement of masonry units
- Clean excess mortar from finished work
- Follow safety procedures and maintain clean work area

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason
- Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans
- Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and tools
- Attention to detail and good manual dexterity
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks such as lifting heavy materials
- Own visa or work permit in Portugal (if non-EU citizen)
- Able to work part-time hours without accommodation
