Information Technology Manager - Oslo, Norway


We are in search of an experienced and dynamic Information Technology Manager to oversee our company's technology operations in Oslo, Norway. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our IT systems and infrastructure, providing technical support and guidance to employees, and implementing strategies to improve our overall technology performance.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and coordinate the daily operations of our company's technology systems
- Manage a team of IT professionals and provide support and guidance as needed
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of our systems
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware and software
- Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the industry to recommend innovative solutions
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Manage relationships with external vendors for hardware, software or technical support services
- Ensure data backups are performed regularly and disaster recovery plans are in place

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role as an IT Manager or Director
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure including LAN/WAN protocols, routers, switches, firewalls etc.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Proficient in project management methodologies
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of information security principles
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Norwegian is a plus
