Entry-Level Mason
As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures such as walls, floors, chimneys, and other building elements made of brick, concrete blocks, stone, and other materials. You will assist in measuring and cutting materials, mixing mortar and grout, and laying bricks or stones according to established patterns or designs. This is an entry-level position that requires no prior experience but does require physical strength and the ability to work with tools. Your main duties will include preparing surfaces for construction by cleaning them and applying a layer of mortar or grout; using trowels to spread mortar or grout evenly; aligning bricks or stones using plumb lines or levels; cutting bricks or stones to fit into place; finishing surfaces by smoothing mortar joints; cleaning up work areas after each shift; and adhering to all safety regulations. The ideal candidate for this position is physically fit with good hand-eye coordination and a basic understanding of construction techniques. You should also have excellent time management skills as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position offers a starting salary of $1000 per month in the city of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates.
