Sous Chef
We are in search of an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join our team at our upscale restaurant in the beautiful city of Braga. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to manage the kitchen operations and ensure that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in creating and updating menu offerings that meet quality standards and customer preferences
- Oversee and train kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure high-quality ingredients are received on time
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to sanitation guidelines and food safety regulations
- Plan and execute special events or themed nights for the restaurant
- Assist in creating cost-effective menus while maintaining high-quality dishes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, menu creation, and food safety regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1400$ per month for this full-time position.
