Personal Tutor
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Tutor to join our team in Porto. As a Personal Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one academic support and guidance to students of various ages and levels. Your main goal will be to help students achieve their academic goals and develop essential study skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments to identify each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles
- Design personalized lesson plans based on individual student needs
- Provide instruction in a variety of subjects, including but not limited to math, science, English, and history
- Clarify complex concepts and reinforce key skills through interactive teaching methods
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Communicate with parents or guardians regularly to provide updates on student performance
- Prepare students for exams by reviewing material and practicing test-taking strategies
- Collaborate with other tutors and teachers to share resources and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience as a tutor or teacher in a school or private setting
- Strong knowledge of various subjects and curriculum standards
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Patient, empathetic, and able to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
- Ability to motivate students and create a positive learning environment
- Biometric passport required for international travel with students (accommodation not provided)
Salary: $1300/month (negotiable based on qualifications and experience)
