Network and Systems Administrator (Contract) - Bergen, Norway

As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's computer systems and networks. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure smooth operation of all systems, troubleshoot any issues, and implement necessary updates or upgrades.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls
- Maintain system security by implementing firewalls and regular backups
- Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement network improvements
- Handle user accounts, permissions, email accounts, and system access rights
- Ensure data is backed up regularly and securely stored
- Respond to user inquiries regarding system functionality or issues in a timely manner
- Keep up-to-date with new technology trends in the industry

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP), hardware (routers, switches), and security principles
- Experience working with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMWare or Hyper-V
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
