A reputable company in Greenland is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's database systems, ensuring their security, reliability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database management and administration, along with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database systems to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop and maintain database backup and recovery plans
- Manage user access and permissions to the database
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as data backups, schema changes, and updates
- Identify potential issues and provide solutions to improve database performance
- Collaborate with other teams to gather requirements for new database systems or modifications to existing ones
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with database design, data modeling, and SQL programming
- Experience with data backup, recovery, security protocols, and disaster recovery procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Requirements:
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python) for automating tasks

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this position.

Location:
This position is located in Greenland but we welcome candidates from all nationalities who are willing to relocate.
