Head Chef
We are in search of an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our team in Faroe-Islands. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring quality food preparation and presentation, and managing kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Develop menus and create new dishes that meet quality standards
- Oversee food preparation and ensure timely delivery of meals
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts and delegating tasks
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Collaborate with management to develop cost-effective strategies for menu items
- Handle any customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service
- Create and maintain relationships with local suppliers for fresh ingredients
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and creative menu development
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with staff, management, and suppliers
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
