Heavy Equipment Operator
We are in need of an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Faro. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. Your main duties will include driving and maneuvering the equipment, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and ensuring safe and efficient operation.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience working as a Heavy Equipment Operator and possess a valid heavy equipment operator's license. You should also have strong knowledge of safety procedures and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment according to job site requirements
- Inspect equipment before use and report any defects or malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate with team members to coordinate job tasks efficiently
- Complete daily paperwork related to equipment operation and maintenance
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
- Valid heavy equipment operator's license
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to operating heavy equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
