Executive Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team in Almada, Portugal. As the head of our culinary department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and ensuring the highest quality of dishes are served to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and target audience
- Oversee food preparation, including cooking, portioning, and plating
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen employees
- Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment according to safety standards
- Ensure all dishes meet quality standards and are presented attractively
- Create new dishes and experiment with new ingredients to keep the menu fresh and exciting
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Creativity and innovation in menu planning and dish creation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 900$ per week for this contract position.
Location:
This position is located in Almada, Portugal. While we prefer candidates who are currently living in Almada or nearby areas, we welcome applications from candidates who are willing to relocate.
