Junior Preservation Architect

As a Junior Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for assisting senior architects in the preservation and restoration of historic buildings and structures in the city of Alta. Your main role will be to assist with surveying, documentation, and conservation work on various projects. This is an entry-level position for those interested in pursuing a career in preservation architecture.

Responsibilities:
- Assist senior architects with surveying and documenting historic buildings and structures
- Participate in conservation work, including cleaning, repairing, and preserving historic materials
- Conduct research on historical context and materials used in buildings
- Collaborate with other team members to develop preservation plans for projects
- Assist with drafting architectural drawings and plans
- Keep accurate records of project progress and documentation
- Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders as needed

Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture or a related field (preferably with a focus on historic preservation)
- Strong understanding of architectural theory, history, and materials
- Knowledge of preservation techniques and practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other drafting software
- Excellent research skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Passion for preserving historic buildings and structures

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1400 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Alta, a beautiful city known for its well-preserved historic buildings. While we welcome applicants from all nationalities, preference will be given to those who are already residing or willing to relocate to Alta.
