Preservation Architect

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Aalborg. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving historic buildings and structures by conducting research, creating preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and other architects to ensure that all preservation work is done accurately and according to historical guidelines.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough research on the history and significance of historic buildings
- Creating preservation plans that outline the necessary restoration work
- Collaborating with clients to understand their goals for the preservation project
- Working closely with contractors to oversee restoration projects and ensure adherence to historical guidelines
- Utilizing your knowledge of materials, methods, and techniques to preserve historic structures
- Inspecting buildings for damage or deterioration and creating reports on necessary repairs
- Keeping detailed records of all preservation work done on each building

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in preservation architecture or a similar role
- Strong understanding of historical preservation principles and guidelines
- Experience conducting research on historic buildings and structures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, contractors, and other architects
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other design software
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Salary: 1000$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

City: Aalborg

Note for students: This position is open to both students looking for part-time work during their studies as well as recent graduates seeking full-time employment. Relevant coursework or internships in preservation architecture will be considered as experience.
