Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our team in Alta, Norway. This is a contract job with a salary of 1700$ per month. This position is suitable for men and does not require prior experience. Visa sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Verify the accuracy of transactions and reconcile any discrepancies
- Monitor and analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for improvement
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax laws
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Conduct month-end close procedures and prepare financial reports for management
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data entry

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Norwegian is a plus)

Working Conditions:
This position is based in Alta, Norway. The working hours are Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm. We offer a competitive salary package, including visa sponsorship for non-EU candidates.
