We are searching for an experienced and creative Executive Chef to join our team in Kolding, Denmark. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that reflect our restaurant's style and concept
- Plan and execute daily specials and seasonal menus
- Source high-quality ingredients from local suppliers
- Create new dishes and update existing ones to keep the menu fresh and exciting
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and discipline if necessary
- Monitor food costs and maintain inventory levels to meet budgetary requirements
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Creative flair in developing new dishes while also maintaining consistency in existing menu items
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team of kitchen staff
- Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience as an Executive Chef
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Danish is a plus
- Must be legally eligible to work in Denmark
