Excavator Operator (Contract)

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in Porto, Portugal on a contract basis. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment to excavate, move and grade earth or other materials. This position requires experience operating various types of excavators and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of excavators, including trackhoes and backhoes, to excavate and grade land for construction projects
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to determine the best approach for each job
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues to supervisors
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while operating heavy equipment
- Communicate with team members on site to coordinate excavation tasks and ensure efficient workflow
- Complete daily logs and reports on equipment usage, maintenance, and any incidents that occur

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating excavators in a construction or similar environment
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to read and understand project plans and instructions from supervisors
- Strong mechanical skills with knowledge of basic machine maintenance
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Attention to detail with the ability to work accurately within tight deadlines
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Salary:
The salary for this contract position is $1200 per month.
