Body Repair Master - Bergen, Norway (Contract Position)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Body Repair Master to join our team in Bergen, Norway on a contract basis. As our ideal candidate, you will have a passion for automotive repair and possess strong technical skills in bodywork and paint. You will be responsible for performing repairs on damaged vehicles to restore them to their pre-accident condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed
- Repair and replace damaged body panels, including welding and panel beating as necessary
- Perform paintwork, including color matching and blending, to achieve a seamless finish
- Ensure all work is completed within the given time frame and meets quality standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repair progress and any additional work needed
- Keep track of inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Body Repair Master or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of vehicle structure, materials, and repair methods
- Proficient in welding techniques, particularly MIG welding
- Skilled in panel beating, sanding, grinding, and painting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret collision repair estimates
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-experts
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work
