Interpreter (Greenland)


As an Interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages. Your main responsibility will be to accurately interpret spoken words from one language to another, ensuring that the meaning and tone of the message remain intact. You will work in a variety of settings, including business meetings, conferences, legal proceedings, and medical appointments. This role requires excellent language skills and cultural sensitivity, as well as the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure. Fluency in English and Greenlandic is essential. This position is open to both men and women and does not require previous experience or a visa.

Salary: $1700 per month
City: Greenland

Responsibilities:
- Interpret verbal communications accurately from one language to another
- Ensure that the tone and meaning of the message are conveyed correctly
- Translate written documents as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Research terminology in various fields to prepare for interpreting assignments
- Manage interpreting equipment and software effectively
- Collaborate with other interpreters when necessary
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and changes in language usage

Requirements:
- Fluency in English and Greenlandic (both written and spoken)
- Proven experience as an interpreter or similar role (preferred but not required)
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness
- Strong communication skills, including active listening
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
- Excellent research skills
- Familiarity with interpreting equipment and software (preferred but not required)
