Database Administrator (Copenhagen, Denmark)
We are hiring a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our growing team in Copenhagen, Denmark. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval for our various projects and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing database structures that support the storage and retrieval of large amounts of data
- Monitoring database performance and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal efficiency
- Troubleshooting and resolving database issues in a timely manner
- Conducting regular backups and ensuring data security and integrity
- Collaborating with other team members to identify database needs for new projects or system updates
- Providing technical support to end-users as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Proficiency in SQL and other database management tools
- Knowledge of database design principles and best practices
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, and security procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and find effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with team members from different departments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
