Preservation Architect


As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in the city of Acre, with a focus on maintaining their cultural and architectural integrity. Your role will involve conducting research, developing preservation plans, and overseeing the execution of restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed research on historical buildings and structures in Acre to gain a thorough understanding of their architectural significance
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local and international standards for historical conservation
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the safe execution of restoration projects
- Oversee the restoration process to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with your plans
- Monitor the progress of restoration projects and make any necessary adjustments to ensure that deadlines are met
- Work closely with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for restoration projects
- Document all stages of the preservation process, including before-and-after photos and detailed reports

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience working as an architect, preferably with a focus on historical preservation
- Excellent knowledge of architectural history and preservation techniques
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or SketchUp
- Fluent English language skills; knowledge of Malayalam is a plus

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position based in Acre. As this role involves working on historical sites, some fieldwork may be required. The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.
