Heritage Preservation Architect
As a Heritage Preservation Architect, you will play a crucial role in preserving and protecting historic buildings and structures. You will work closely with local authorities, building owners, and other stakeholders to ensure the conservation of cultural heritage sites. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed assessments of buildings, developing preservation plans, overseeing restoration projects, and providing expert advice on conservation techniques. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing budgets and deadlines, collaborating with teams of engineers and contractors, and maintaining accurate records of all projects.
To excel in this role, you must have a strong background in architecture with a specific focus on preservation and conservation. You should be knowledgeable about historical construction methods and materials, as well as current preservation standards and regulations. Excellent project management skills are essential for this role as you will be required to manage multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish. Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a specialization in Conservation/Preservation
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in architectural conservation/preservation
- Knowledgeable about historical construction methods and materials
- Familiarity with current preservation standards and regulations
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong communication skills

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
