Database Administrator (DBA)



As a Database Administrator (DBA) at our company in Roskilde, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of our databases. You will ensure that our databases are operating efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our organization. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Design and implement database structures, tables, indexes and functions
- Ensure data security and integrity by regularly backing up databases and implementing security measures
- Work closely with developers to optimize database design for system performance
- Develop database automation processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
- Provide technical support to end users for database related issues
- Keep up-to-date with new developments in database technology and make recommendations for upgrades or improvements

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of SQL language and relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience in database design, data backup and recovery processes
- Familiarity with database security best practices
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python is an advantage
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience working with cloud-based databases
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
