Head Chef

As the Head Chef at our restaurant in Vejle, Denmark, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring high-quality, delicious meals are served to our guests. You will use your expert culinary skills to create unique and innovative menus that reflect our restaurant's style and satisfy our customers' tastes. You will also manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure a smooth operation.

Responsibilities:
- Create seasonal menus that showcase fresh ingredients and incorporate local flavors
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and menu specifications
- Train new chefs and kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen safety procedures
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Oversee food costing to ensure profitability while maintaining quality
- Collaborate with restaurant management on special events or promotions

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and dishes
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English (Danish language skills preferred)
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
