Head Chef
As a Head Chef at our restaurant in La-Condamine, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation. You will lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring that high-quality dishes are consistently being produced. Your creativity and attention to detail will be key in developing new menu items and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train, supervise, and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff
- Develop new dishes and menus while ensuring they meet our standards for taste, presentation, and cost
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and maintain a clean working environment
- Collaborate with management to create seasonal specials and promotions
- Monitor food costs to meet budget targets
- Handle any customer complaints or issues related to food quality or service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, menu development, and food cost control
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to work closely with management, staff, and suppliers
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also maintaining consistency with established menu items
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Salary: $1000/month (negotiable depending on experience)
City: La-Condamine (preference for local candidates but open to all nationalities)
