Network and Systems Administrator

We are in need of a highly skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining our company's network infrastructure, ensuring its security and availability at all times. You will also be responsible for managing our systems, including servers, databases, and applications.

Key responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Implement security measures to protect the network from cyber threats
- Maintain and upgrade network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
- Install and configure new servers, databases, and applications
- Conduct regular backups of critical data to ensure its safety
- Provide technical support to employees regarding network and system related issues
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to develop solutions for complex network problems

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Network and Systems Administrator
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP), hardware (routers, switches), and security measures
- Experience with server administration (Windows/Linux) and virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals
