Executive Chef - Scandinavian Cuisine (Copenhagen, Denmark)
As an Executive Chef in our renowned Scandinavian restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark, you will be responsible for creating and implementing our menu featuring authentic and innovative dishes. We are seeking a talented and passionate chef who is familiar with traditional Scandinavian ingredients and cooking techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative menu items that showcase the flavors and traditions of Scandinavian cuisine
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, from sourcing ingredients to plating dishes
- Monitor food quality and consistency to maintain high standards
- Collaborate with management to create budgets and control costs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fine dining restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Scandinavian ingredients and cooking methods
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Creativity and passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-end restaurant
- Fluent in written and spoken English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- Must be willing to relocate to Copenhagen if not already living in Denmark
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive salary of 1000$ per week, as well as benefits such as healthcare coverage. We also provide assistance with obtaining a visa for non-EU citizens.
