Head Chef - Os, Norway



As a Head Chef at our restaurant in Os, Norway, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food to our customers. We are seeking an experienced and passionate chef who can lead our team to success.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop creative and delicious menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our customers
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of all dishes to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Train, mentor, and manage a team of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and assistants
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficiency in the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times to meet health and safety standards
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, pricing, and cost control measures
- Stay updated on food trends, new techniques, and ingredients to continually improve the menu offerings

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also maintaining classic favorites on the menu
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management abilities to ensure timely preparation of orders during peak hours
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays as needed

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification is preferred
- Valid food handler's certificate
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Norwegian is a plus
- Must be legally authorized to work in Norway

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1200$ per week. Compensation may vary based on experience.
