Location: Faroe Islands


We are hiring a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Faroe Islands. In this role, you will be responsible for preserving and protecting historic buildings and structures. Your main responsibilities will include conducting research, creating preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting detailed research on the history and significance of historic buildings and structures
- Creating preservation plans that outline how to protect and maintain these structures
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to execute preservation projects
- Inspecting buildings for damage or deterioration and recommending necessary repairs or restoration work
- Ensuring all restoration work is carried out according to preservation guidelines and standards
- Managing budgets and timelines for preservation projects
- Maintaining accurate records of all preservation work carried out on assigned buildings or structures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in historic preservation or conservation work
- Strong knowledge of historic architecture, materials, and techniques
- Experience with conducting research on historic buildings and structures
- Ability to create detailed preservation plans that adhere to established guidelines and standards
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of professionals
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this full-time position.

Location:
This position is located in Faroe Islands. Preference will be given to candidates who are already based in this location.

Accommodation:
Accommodation will not be provided for this position.

Experience Required:
While we welcome applicants with varying levels of experience, a minimum of 2 years in historic preservation or conservation work is required for this role.

Freshers Welcome:
This position is open to freshers who have recently graduated with a degree in Architecture or a related field. However, some prior experience in historic preservation or conservation work is preferred.
