Shaper - Woodworking Specialist


We are a growing woodworking company based in Bungoma and we are seeking a skilled and experienced Shaper to join our team. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about woodworking and has a keen eye for detail.

As our Shaper, you will be responsible for shaping and creating various wooden pieces using specialized tools and equipment. You will work with a variety of wood types and be able to interpret design plans accurately to create high-quality finished products. This role requires someone who is physically fit, as it involves lifting and maneuvering large pieces of wood.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in woodworking, specifically in shaping
- Extensive knowledge of different types of wood and their properties
- Proficiency in using shaping tools such as routers, sanders, planers, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret design plans accurately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure precise measurements
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy pieces of wood
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines

Responsibilities:
- Operate shaping tools accurately and safely
- Read design plans carefully and follow them precisely
- Shape various wooden pieces according to specifications provided by the designer or client
- Ensure precise measurements are taken throughout the shaping process
- Sand, smooth, and finish shaped pieces using appropriate techniques
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance before final delivery or installation
- Maintain an organized workspace and keep all tools clean and well-maintained

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1100 per month, with opportunities for growth within the company.
