Part-Time Interpreter

We are a language services company based in Porto, seeking a skilled and experienced Interpreter to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate interpretation services in various settings such as meetings, conferences, and appointments. You will work closely with our clients to ensure effective communication and understanding between parties who speak different languages. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work remotely.

Requirements:

- Fluent in both English and Portuguese (both written and spoken)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interpreter
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to accurately interpret conversations in real-time
- Knowledge of cultural norms and etiquette for both English and Portuguese speakers
- Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information

Responsibilities:

- Provide interpretation services for meetings, conferences, appointments, etc.
- Facilitate communication between parties who speak different languages
- Maintain accuracy and impartiality while interpreting
- Research terminology specific to various industries or topics as needed
- Understand and adhere to ethical standards of the interpreting profession
- Ensure confidentiality of all interpreted conversations

Salary: $1500 per month (based on experience)
