Industrial Rope Access Technician

As an Industrial Rope Access Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks at height using specialized ropes and climbing techniques. Your main duty will be to assist with maintenance, construction, and inspection projects on buildings, towers, bridges, and other structures. You will also be required to work in confined spaces and perform rescue operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize rope access techniques to access work areas at height
- Inspect and maintain equipment used for rope access
- Assist with the installation or removal of scaffolding or safety systems
- Conduct visual inspections of structures and report any defects or issues
- Perform minor repairs or maintenance tasks on structures as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations while working at height
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding work tasks
- Maintain accurate records of work performed

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial alpinism/rope access work
- Valid industrial rope access certification (IRATA or SPRAT)
- Proficiency in knots, rigging techniques, and rope access equipment use
- Physically fit and able to work at height for extended periods of time
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and performing rescue operations if needed
- Basic understanding of construction/maintenance practices is preferred but not required
- Must have a valid driver's license (motorcycle license is a plus)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)

Salary: $1300 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Porto, Portugal
