We are seeking an experienced and driven Hotel Sales Manager to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As the Hotel Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase hotel revenue through sales and marketing initiatives. Your primary focus will be on driving group business and managing key accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing clients
- Coordinate with the marketing team to create promotional offers and packages
- Manage key accounts and negotiate contracts to maximize revenue
- Conduct market research to identify trends and adjust strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with other departments such as reservations, front office, and events to ensure smooth operations for group bookings
- Monitor competitors' sales activities and make recommendations to stay ahead in the market
- Prepare monthly reports on sales performance and present them to senior management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in hotel sales, preferably in a managerial role
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent knowledge of hotel operations and market trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Fluent in English (Portuguese is a plus)
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
