Hotel Sales Manager


The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue and increasing sales for the hotel in Funchal. This individual will work closely with the sales team to create and implement strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones. They will also be responsible for developing relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and other potential partners to drive business. The Hotel Sales Manager should have a strong understanding of the local market, excellent communication skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and occupancy
- Identify new business opportunities and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and other potential partners
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and packages to attract new customers
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competition
- Negotiate contracts with clients to ensure profitable deals for the hotel
- Train and manage the sales team to meet targets and objectives
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the hotel
- Monitor sales performance using key metrics and report findings to upper management
- Assist in budget planning for the sales department

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Previous experience in hotel sales or a similar role preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Understanding of market trends, competitor analysis, and pricing strategies
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work evenings or weekends as needed
