Restaurant Manager
As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant in Bergen. Your main goal will be to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the restaurant, while also maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service. You will be in charge of managing staff, creating work schedules, handling inventory and ordering supplies, and enforcing health and safety regulations. Additionally, you will be expected to handle customer complaints and resolve any issues that arise. This role requires excellent leadership skills, as well as strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Previous experience in restaurant management is preferred but not required. This position offers a salary of $1400 per month, with a free visa and ticket provided.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant
- Manage staff and create work schedules
- Ensure high standards of food quality and customer service are maintained
- Handle inventory management and order supplies when necessary
- Enforce health and safety regulations
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Train new employees on company policies and procedures
- Monitor expenses and control costs to maximize profits
- Collaborate with chefs to develop new menu items or promotions
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for staff members
Requirements:
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving issues
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and health codes
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if needed
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel for inventory management purposes
