Head Pastry Chef
As the Head Pastry Chef at our high-end restaurant in the beautiful city of Faroe Islands, you will be responsible for creating and executing all aspects of our pastry program. Your expertise in pastries and dessert will add a sweet touch to our already exceptional menu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create unique and innovative pastry dishes that align with the restaurant's concept and vision.
- Oversee the production and presentation of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Train and supervise a team of pastry cooks, ensuring high-quality standards are met at all times.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain cost control measures to ensure profitability.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create seasonal menus and specials.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of various baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and flavor pairings.
- Creative flair with a passion for creating visually appealing desserts.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
