Senior Accountant



As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company in Bergen. Your role will involve managing and analyzing financial data, preparing financial statements and reports, and providing strategic insights to help guide business decisions. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

To excel in this role, you should have extensive experience in accounting and finance, as well as strong analytical skills and attention to detail. You must also possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance department
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Provide strategic insights to assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and auditors
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior accounting staff

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP/IFRS)
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (knowledge of accounting software is a plus)
- Attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively
