Typesetter
A typesetter is responsible for designing and arranging text and images for printed materials such as books, newspapers, and magazines. They work closely with editors, graphic designers, and publishers to create visually appealing and readable layouts.
Responsibilities:
- Use computer software to design and arrange text and images in a visually appealing way
- Collaborate with editors, graphic designers, and publishers to determine the layout and design of printed materials
- Ensure that text is properly formatted, including font type, size, spacing, and alignment
- Make sure images are placed correctly in relation to the text
- Proofread material for accuracy in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure that the final product meets quality standards
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new software developments
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a typesetter or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using computer software for typesetting such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively
- Own visa or ability to obtain one
- Must be able to work full-time
Salary:
This position offers a salary of 1700$ per month.
Location:
This job is located in Faroe Islands but can also be done remotely.
