Head Chef
As the Head Chef at our restaurant in Aarhus, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen. Your main goal will be to create delicious and visually appealing dishes, while also maintaining high standards of food safety and kitchen cleanliness. You will lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring that they are properly trained and motivated to produce quality meals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new menu items and recipes that are innovative and in line with our restaurant's concept
- Monitor food costs and ensure that all ingredients are used efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety regulations
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including assigning tasks and providing feedback
- Participate in hiring and scheduling of chefs and kitchen assistants
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies as needed while staying within budget
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations during service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
- Excellent leadership skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity in developing menu items
- Strong attention to detail
- Fluent in English (Danish language skills preferred but not required)
Salary:
We are offering a salary of 1300$ per week for this full-time position. Additional benefits such as health insurance may be negotiable based on experience.
