Executive Pastry Chef - Esbjerg, Denmark
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Esbjerg, Denmark. As the Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the production of all pastry and dessert items for our menu. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$ per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new pastry and dessert menu items that align with our restaurant's concept and standards.
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, presentation, and plating of all pastry and dessert orders.
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs to ensure consistency and high-quality standards are met.
- Monitor inventory levels of all pastry ingredients and supplies and place orders as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all health codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role in a fine dining or high-end establishment.
- In-depth knowledge of different pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Creative thinking with an eye for detail to create visually stunning desserts that taste just as good as they look.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Degree or certification in culinary arts or pastry-making is preferred.
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week on a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays. This is a physically demanding job that requires standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in hot temperatures. The restaurant is located in Esbjerg city center with easy access to public transportation.
